This Single Vineyard Grenache comes from 150+ year old vines from the historical Stonegarden Vineyard in Eden Valley, which is one of the oldest
vineyards in the wider Barossa Valley.
Bright crimson in colour, this wine displays perfume, violets and raspberries with complex spicy aromas. The palate shows concentrated layers of red fruits and spice, with fine velvety tannins and incredible texture.
This special wine is about true expression of fruit, vineyard and soil, and was made with minimalistic techniques to truly allow the distinguished fruit to shine. Fermented with natural yeast and 40% whole bunches, with the balance being destemmed, not crushed, leaving the berries whole. The juice was hand plunged twice daily for two weeks before being pressed to seasoned French oak puncheons, then aged on lees for 12 months.
No fining or filtration was used on this wine.
